Welcome to the Ege University Civil Engineering Department webpage.

 

As one of the oldest and most dynamic departments in our Faculty of Engineering, we have considered it our most fundamental duty since our establishment to educate engineers who are guided by scientific thinking, committed to ethical values, environmentally conscious, and possess a high sense of social responsibility.

 

Civil engineering, in addition to being one of the oldest and most fundamental engineering disciplines in human history, continues to play a leading role in shaping the modern world. Touching every aspect of life, from housing needs to transportation, from energy infrastructures to water resource management, this profession is evolving today with new global goals such as sustainability, digitalization, and disaster-resilient structures.

 

In the green and vibrant atmosphere of the Ege University campus, our department provides education with a strong academic staff specializing in six main disciplines: Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Hydraulics, Transportation Engineering, Building Materials, and Construction Management. Our educational model, which blends theoretical knowledge with laboratory and field applications, prepares our students to solve not only today's but also tomorrow's engineering problems.

 

Our expectation from our students is not only that they become individuals equipped with technical knowledge, but also that they graduate as leaders who question, research, embrace lifelong learning, and contribute to society with a sense of belonging that comes from being an "Ege University" graduate.

 

I wish both our newly enrolled students and our young engineering candidates experiencing the excitement of graduation a successful education and professional life; and I greet all our stakeholders with love and respect.
